Vanessa Franze is a self-published Australian children’s author and the creator of The Adventures of Fufu the Toy Poodle. Inspired by her real-life toy poodle, Fufu, Vanessa writes heart-warming stories that celebrate friendship, kindness, and the joy of everyday adventures.
Based in Melbourne, Vanessa is passionate about creating engaging children’s books that spark imagination while gently teaching positive life lessons and values. The Adventures of Fufu the Toy Poodle marks the beginning of an ongoing series, with many more adventures planned for Fufu and her friends. Each story is thoughtfully crafted to leave readers with a meaningful takeaway. Writing these books is the fulfilment of one of Vanessa’s lifelong passions. After completing her first book, Vanessa’s son was involved in a serious accident. During this incredibly challenging time, the kindness, care, and support they received from the Royal Children’s Hospital and the Starlight Foundation left a lasting impact on their family. It was in these moments that Vanessa realised her book series could be more than just stories, it could be a way to give back and bring joy to children facing their own difficult journeys. Through The Adventures of Fufu the Toy Poodle, Vanessa hopes to inspire smiles, courage, and comfort, while raising vital funds to support sick children and their families. Every book is written with love, purpose, and the belief that even the smallest stories can make a big difference.
